Roadside safety check planned in Crystal Lake

ELGIN – The Illinois State Police District 2 and Crystal Lake Police Department will conduct a joint roadside safety check in Crystal Lake this weekend, Capt. Paul Riggio said Tuesday in a news release.

Officers will watch for drivers who are operating vehicles in an unsafe manner, driving with a suspended or revoked driver’s license, transporting open alcoholic beverages or driving under the influence.

This project is funded through the Illinois Department of Transportation, Division of Traffic Safety.
