Hobby Lobby in McHenry robbed

McHENRY – Investigators are searching for a man who robbed a Hobby Lobby store Saturday afternoon, according to the McHenry Police Department.

Officers were called to the store, located at 2000 N. Richmond Road, at around 4:30 p.m. Saturday for a report of a robbery, according to a news release. An unidentified man approached an employee to purchase an item and took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register as the drawer opened.

He did not display a weapon and fled the area on foot, the news release states. No one was injured during the incident.

The man was described as white, 40 to 50 years old, 5-foot-7-iniches tall, clean shaven, with a slim build. He was wearing blue jeans, a dark blue and black hooded sweatshirt with a black hood, a dark colored baseball cap, and sunglasses.
