McHENRY – The public is invited to a grand opening event from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Next Auto Sales, 3706 W. Elm St., McHenry.

The event will feature singing of the national anthem at 2:30 p.m. by Andre “Peter” Pipes of Peter and the Versatiles. The Rev. Patti J. Roberts of McHenry will conduct a site blessing, McHenry Mayor Sue Low will address the crowd, McHenry Warrior squad members will perform, and free food and refreshments will be available.

In addition, the Motown sounds of Peter and the Versatiles will entertain attendees from 3 to 5 p.m., said Randy Jeschke, president of Next Auto Sales, which opened mid-August.

“After working for 29 years in the automobile business … I now have a place in the town that I call home,” he said. “We buy, sell and trade, and we make the experience no-pressure and hassle-free. I hope everyone will come out to the open house to enjoy some food, drink and entertainment.”
