Woodstock Fire teams with Culver's for fundraiser

Published: Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013 3:42 p.m. CDT

WOODSTOCK – Those passing through Woodstock on Fridays in October will have a chance to do some good in exchange for ice cream.

Woodstock Fire/Rescue and Culver's of Woodstock have come together to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. A "Pass the Boot" fundraiser will take place the last three Fridays of the month: Oct. 11, Oct. 18 and Oct. 25.

Members of the fire department on those days will be taking donations at a four-way intersection in downtown Woodstock.

Those who donate will receive a card that is redeemable for a free scoop of Culver's frozen custard.

Organizers are aiming to beat last year's total of $10,000 in donations.
