Father, daughter charged in Chicago dismembering

CHICAGO (AP) — Chicago police say a father and his teenage daughter are facing charges after a man's dismembered body was found buried in a backyard on the city's southwest side.

Police say Sunday that 19-year-old Daisy Gutierrez was charged with first-degree murder. Her father, 56-year-old Salvador Gutierrez, was charged with concealing a homicide.

They're expected to appear in bond court later Sunday.

The man's remains were found Friday afternoon. An autopsy shows he died from "multiple sharp force injuries" and assault.

The Cook County Medical Examiner's office says Sunday that they haven't released the man's name or age.
