Chamber to host lunch on Affordable Care Act

CRYSTAL LAKE – The Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Governmental Affairs Luncheon 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 18 at The Pointe, 5650 Route 14, Crystal Lake.

The event will feature Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital’s Joel Cowen, who will give an overview of the Patient Protection Affordable Care Act, and McHenry County Health Department’s Shelly Nicholson, who will talk about how to navigate the Illinois Health Insurance Marketplace Exchange.

This will be a boxed luncheon, and registration is required. The cost is $10 for Chamber members and $15 for nonmembers. Reservations must be received by Oct. 16. Register at www.clchamber.com.

The Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce is a nonpartisan organization. The purpose of this and other meet-and-greets are to keep the business community informed in areas that may affect business.
