Roundup: Woodstock co-op girls swimmers sweep relays, beat Jefferson

The Woodstock co-op girls swimming team swept all the relays Monday in its 115-35 nonconference win over Rockford Jefferson in Woodstock.

Lizzy Kruse, Tess Devinger, Gianna McGuire and Alli DeWane won the 200-yard medley relay (2:05.20) and the 200 freestyle relay (1:51.68). McGuire added wins in the 50 free (26.48) and 100 free (59.14), Devinger took the 100 breaststroke (1:17.04) and and the 100 fly (1:07.63), and Kruse won the 100 backstroke (1:09.88).

Brooke Brasile added wins in the 500 freestyle (6:08.82) and the 200 freestyle (2:22.04).

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Marian Central 2, Aurora Central Catholic 0: At Aurora, Hannah Davis had seven kills and five blocks with Bethany Bucci adding nine digs for the Hurricanes (9-7 overall, 5-3 Suburban Christian Conference Blue Division) in their SCC Blue win.

BOYS SOCCER

Wauconda 4, Woodstock 2: At Wauconda, Julio Arias scored twice for the Blue Streaks (5-11-1), both on assists by Will Maidment, in their nonconference loss.

GIRLS GOLF

Harvard 200, Grant 234: At Beaver Creek in Capron, Abby Linhart and Kayleigh Isonhart tied for medalist honors for the Hornets with a 46 in their nonconference win.

GIRLS TENNIS

Jacobs 6, Woodstock 1: At Woodstock, Ashley Kosy lost the second set but picked up a 6-3, 7-6 (4), 6-2 win at No. 1 singles for the Golden Eagles in their Fox Valley Conference crossover win.

Amy Fischbach won at No. 2 singles, 6-4, 6-1, for the Blue Streaks.

Johnsburg 4, Hampshire 3: At Johnsburg, Olivia Kasprzyk and Kataryna Altobelli took No. 2 doubles, 6-4, 6-3, for the Skyhawks in their FVC Fox win.

Hannah Hougland (No. 1 singles) and Julie Schreiner (No. 2 singles) each won, 6-1, 6-1, for the Whip-Purs.

Woodstock North 6, Round Lake 1: At Woodstock, Anna Gabrielson and Lulu Nicks won at No. 2 doubles, 6-0, 6-1, for the Thunder in their nonconference win.
