WONDER LAKE – A 38-year-old Wonder Lake man has been charged with violating the Sex Offender Act after he didn't report he was living with a juvenile that is not his child, the McHenry County Sheriff's Office said.

Juan Martinez, a registered sex offender, failed to report he was living with a child that was not his, which is required under the Illinois Sex Offender Registry Act.

Martinez was taken into custody Thursday and charged with unlawful violation of the sex offender act, a Class 3 felony.

His bond was set at $20,000.
