ELGIN, Ill. (AP) — A water main rehabilitation company has opened its new U.S. headquarters in Elgin.
The Canadian company FER-PAL Infrastructure opened the facility in suburban Chicago on Tuesday. Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn was there.
The governor's office says the company has created 50 new jobs in Illinois.
Quinn's office says the governor met with FER-PAL CEO Shaun McKaigue and the mayor of Toronto when they traveled to Chicago recently. Governor's office officials say Quinn then visited Toronto Mayor Rob Ford in Toronto to discuss FER-PAL locating in Elgin.
