Friends of the McHenry Public Library to host book sale

McHENRY – The Friends of the McHenry Public Library will hold their annual Fall Used Book Sale during library hours this weekend.

Hours of the sale are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday at the library, 809 Front St. (Route 31 just north of Lillian Street).

Those who check out an item from the library before the book sale will receive a coupon for $1 off a $5 purchase (one to a customer).

The sale will feature hundreds of hardcover and paperback books, audiovisua materials and more at bargain prices. Sunday will be a $4-per-bag sale. Patrons will be charged a $10 fee to bring in scanners.

The sale will be held in the library’s warehouse. Shoppers should park in the north lot and use Entrance B towards the rear of the building.

Proceeds from the sale help fund programs and projects. The public is invited to attend Friends’ meetings.

For information, visit www.mchenrylibrary.org or call the library at 815-385-0036.
