CHICAGO (AP) — An Indiana man has been charged in a string of sexual assaults in Chicago that occurred within hours of each other.

Chicago police said Saturday that 26-year-old Terrell Rush of Lafayette, Ind., has been charged with three counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault with a weapon.

He's accused of assaulting two women — a 43-year-old and a 22-year-old — in their home after breaking in through a window.

Police say he then broke into a second home and attempted to sexually assault an 11-year-old girl but was frightened away.

A short time later, police say, Rush sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl walking to a bus stop.

The Oct. 9 attacks took place between 3 a.m. and 6:40 a.m. within blocks of each other in the South Side Washington Heights neighborhood.
