McHenry library offers safe driving class

McHENRY – Brush up on defensive driving skills from noon to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the McHenry Public Library, 809 N. Front St.

Attendees, who must be at least 50 years old, may get a discount on their auto insurance if they complete this two-part program presented by a representative from AARP. 

The cost is $12 for AARP members (bring your card); $14 for nonmembers.

The fee should be paid with a personal check on the first day.
