A man was taken to the Cary Police Department for questioning following an armed robbery on the 1500 block of Crystal Lake Road in Cary. The man and four others were pulled over at the Walgreens on Route 14.

CARY – Four people detained for questioning Wednesday after a robbery in Cary have been charged with felony offenses, according to the Cary Police Department.

Ceszar A. Fernandez, 21, of Elgin; Mark A. Picazo, 19, of Bartlett; Leon Gonzalez Jr., 18, of Bartlett; and Christian J. Deleslin, 18, of Elgin, have each been charged with felony counts of aggravated robbery, possession of cannabis and theft of more than $500.

Police officers responded to a call at around 12:30 p.m. Wednesday from a 20-year-old woman in the 1500 block of Crystal Lake Road who said she was robbed and had a gun brandished in her face. She later gave a description of the four men to investigators.

The men were attempting to rob the woman of drugs, according to the criminal complaint. They were found with 86 grams of cannabis, the complaint states.

A vehicle matching her description of the getaway car was then pulled over by police at the Walgreens on Route 14, and the four men inside were detained for questioning.

The weapon, which was a BB gun, was recovered at the Walgreens.

No one was injured during the incident.

The four men appeared in bond court Thursday morning.

The investigation is ongoing.
