ALGONQUIN – The Friends of the Algonquin Area Public Library will host their Fall Festival Book Sale from Thursday through Nov. 3 at the library’s Eastgate Branch, 115 Eastgate Drive.

The Friends of the Library is a nonprofit organization that raises money to benefit the library.

Three annual book sales and the Harnish Library Book Nook sales have provided extras over the past 22 years that are not in the library’s budget.

The Friends’ book sales are listed and consistently rated “exceptional” on Book Sale Finder, www.booksalefinder.com.

The 30,000 available items include books for all ages. A “Book Bistro” hospitality room allows shoppers to take a break as well as browse gift books and jigsaw puzzles for sale.

The sale will run from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, and there is a $10 entry fee this day only. The sale continues from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and from 1 to 4 p.m. Nov. 3, which also is half-price day. For information, call 847-458-3144 or visit www.aapld.org/about-us.
