MCC offers workforce development classes

CRYSTAL LAKE – Registrations are being accepted for the following McHenry County College Workforce, Community and Business Programs business solution courses:

• Personal Empowerment: Taking Initiative, 8 a.m. to noon Nov. 6. This course seeks to change the mindset that empowerment is something that is given. It helps employees see that they can and should look for improvement opportunities. Course objectives include becoming more valuable to the organization, helping the group or organization be more effective and successful, and taking responsibility for their own success in multiple aspects of work life. The cost is $155, which includes all materials. Participants can register using course ID NTL C12 002.

• Time Challenged, 8 a.m. to noon, Nov. 8. Effective time management involves making an ongoing commitment to review actions and improve them day-by-day. This program inspires people to turn time-wasters into opportunities for increased productivity and strike a work/life balance. The cost is $99, which includes all materials. Participants can register using course ID NTL S09 003.
