Shah Center offers employee training

CRYSTAL LAKE – McHenry County College is offering a cost-effective opportunity for employee training, with access to experienced trainers and consultants bringing quality programs to support area businesses.

These manufacturing and warehousing industry fundamental courses are facilitated through the Shah Center, 4100 W. Shamrock Lane, McHenry. 

The following courses are accepting registration:

• Root Cause – Corrective Action, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday: Learn processes and tools to assist in successfully defining the root cause and implementing counter measures and standardization to prevent recurrence of problems and nonconformance. The cost is $155 and includes all materials. Participants can register using course ID: NTE S30 002.

• Blueprint Reading, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Dec. 3: Participants will learn print layout, holes, threads, machining details and assembly prints. The lecture will be supplemented with individual class exercises to provide actual practice for participants. The cost is $209 and includes all materials. Participants can register using course ID: NTE S61 002.

• Forklift Operator Training, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Nov. 22: This course will teach participants forklift operation and the skills required to operate a lift truck in a correct and professional manner.

Cost is $125, and the training is located at UniCarriers Americas Corp. Lunch will be provided at no extra cost. Participants can register using course ID: NTE S54 005.
