JOHNSBURG – The Johnsburg Rescue Squad Retired Members will host a food distribution for disadvantaged families on Wednesday.

About 10,000 pounds of food, enough for 250 families, will be given away.

The event will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Johnsburg Community Club, 2315 W. Church St., Johnsburg. The club also is the sponsor of the distribution.

No tickets will be handed out before 3:45 p.m.

Only one ticket is allowed per family, and food will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

Recipients are asked to bring their own bags or boxes to carry the food. The next distribution will be Dec. 18.

For information, call Chuck Majercik at 815-385-3853.
