Breast cancer run a success

To the Editor:

McHenry County came out in a big way for the 13th annual Care 4 Breast Cancer 5K on Oct. 20.

There were 2,600 participants, 500 volunteers and many spectators. More than $180,000 was raised from the event to help uninsured women who have breast cancer needs such as early detection, screenings and education.

Many sponsors, such as Sage Products, Centegra Health System and many others, made the 5K possible. The Family Health Partnership staff thanks everyone who made this such a great success.
