Johnsburg, McHenry hosts car seat safety check event

JOHNSBURG – Parents and caregivers can make sure their car seats are properly installed at an upcoming event hosted by the Johnsburg and McHenry police departments.

A car seat safety check will be held 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, at Walmart, 3801 Running Brook Farm Boulevard.

Certified child passenger safety technicians will be on hand to check car seats and give advise on how to choose a car seat and install it properly.

No appointment is necessary at this event, but safety inspections can be scheduled at any time by contacting the Johnsburg Police Department's records division at 815-385-6024 or the McHenry Police Department at 815-363-2200.
