Halloween at the Y

To the Editor:

More than 450 community members attended the Halloween at the Y event Oct. 25 at the Sage YMCA, sponsored by Humana.

The amazing YMCA staff had an action-packed night planned with inflatable toys, a spooky house, a costume contest, crafts and games. A great time was had by all.

Many thanks to employees from CVS who volunteered, Chick-fil-A for donating sandwiches, Domino’s Pizza for donating pizzas, and Countryside Flowers for donating fall decorations.

A huge thanks to member Bob Heldmann and his hospital therapy dog, Wrigley, for visiting with all of our guests, and to employee Denise Kubas and family for setting up the spookiest house for the kids.

I invite you to come by and see the extensive expansion and renovation that the Sage YMCA is embarking on. We are your one stop for fitness, wellness, preschool, swimming and kids sports programming. Visit to download a one-day pass to check us out.
