Concerned with rankings

To the Editor:

Congratulations Harvard School District 50, you have now reached the absolute bottom of the rankings for the percentage of students who met or exceeded state standards for the past year. As a 23-year resident and taxpayer of Harvard, I am extremely concerned with the current rankings.

Shame on Superintendent Lauri Tobias for accepting her paycheck for the past year.

Shame on the District 50 school board members for allowing this to continue.

All of the taxpayers of Harvard are not getting their money’s worth. To the District 50 school board members, something needs to be done now to turn our school rankings around. My recommendation would be to find out how the other districts that are ranking on the high side accomplish this.

We have no place to go but up, or do we?
