Woman flown to hospital after fall through ceiling

McHENRY – A woman was flown to a Rockford hospital on Sunday after she fell through a ceiling, the McHenry Township Fire Protection District said in a news release.

The 54-year-old woman was in the attic of a house at 1211 S. Broadway St. about 10 a.m. when she fell roughly 8 feet through the ceiling, and onto the ground of the garage, the fire district said.

She was conscious when emergency personnel arrived, according to the news release.

The woman, whose name was not released, was flown to Rockford Memorial Hospital with nonlife threatening injuries, the news release said.
