ISBDC announces small business offerings

CRYSTAL LAKE – The Illinois Small Business Development Center at McHenry County College is offering seminars on how to start a new business and exploring the latest trends in social media marketing.

Starting a Business in Illinois, 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 3: An ISBDC experienced instructor will discuss many of the basics pertaining to entrepreneurship, and distribute various handouts with agencies and resources available to help small business owners. The cost is $25.

Social Media Roundtable, 6 to 8 p.m. Dec. 12: Discuss the latest trends in social media marketing and share various approaches with peers. A social media professional will help facilitate the discussion and be available for questions. The roundtable is free, but reservations are required because seating is limited.

Both classes will be held at the Shah Center, 4100 W. Shamrock Lane, McHenry. For information or to register, call the Illinois Small Business Development Center at 815-455-6098.
