MCC offers classes for making holiday centerpieces

CRYSTAL LAKE – McHenry County College’s Continuing Education Department is offering hands-on classes for making holiday centerpieces.

• Thanksgiving Centerpiece Workshop: The class includes step-by-step instructions on how to create a festive Thanksgiving centerpiece. Attendees will compose an arrangement with fresh-cut, seasonal flowers and foliage to take home with them. Bring a floral knife or stem cutters. The fresh material and a container will be provided. The class will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Nov. 26 in Room D158 of the college, 8900 Route 14. The cost is $39. Use course ID: NCF S16 011 when registering.

• Holiday Festive Centerpiece Workshop: Create a seasonal centerpiece using fresh-cut, seasonal flowers and foliage to take home. Bring a floral knife or stem cutters. The fresh material and a container will be provided. The class will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Dec. 3 in Room D158 and costs $39. Use course ID: NCF S41 012 when registering.
