Richmond to get into holiday spirit with Christmas of Yesteryear

RICHMOND – The Christmas of Yesteryear will be held in downtown Richmond from Dec. 6 through Dec. 8 with a traditional visit from Old St. Nick and his elves, storytelling, craft fairs and seasonal treats at local restaurants.

The festivities will kick off with the tree lighting at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 6 in Stevens Park, next to Memorial Hall in downtown Richmond, and feature photos with Santa, goodie bags and Christmas caroling.

On Dec. 7, there will be a cookie walk, storytelling, craft fair, dance performances and magic show. On Dec. 8, the Richmond Fire Department Pancake Breakfast with Santa will take place, along with more opportunities to shop for Christmas presents.
