ACTS, Chamber to host ale festival preview

WOODSTOCK – The Woodstock Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Adult & Child Therapy Services are hosting a preview party Nov. 29 for the Woodstock Ale Festival.

The preview party, which starts at 5 p.m. and coincides with Woodstock’s Lighting of the Square, will be at the Woodstock Chamber office, 136 Cass St.

The preview will feature a selection of craft beers, food from Calogero’s, Sugar Circle and the Woodstock Public House. The Georgia Rae Family Band, which recently had a member win the Illinois State Old-Time Fiddle Grand Champion award, will provide music for the event.

Tickets cost $25 and must be purchased in advance from the Chamber or Adult & Child Therapy Services.

The Woodstock Ale Fest, a celebration of craft beer, bacon and blue grass, will be the city’s first craft beer festival. It will take place Oct. 4, 2014.

The goal of the festival is to showcase American craft beer while supporting the community. Proceeds will benefit the Woodstock Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Adult & Child Therapy Services, a nonprofit group that provides physical, speech and occupational therapy.
