McHenry man gets three years for sex crime
WOODSTOCK – A McHenry man who prosecutors said created a website devoted to his underage lover admitted Thursday to having sex with the girl.
Alan Swierk, 34, pleaded guilty to aggravated criminal sexual abuse and received a three-year prison sentence. His plea agreement was accepted by McHenry County Judge Gordon Graham.
Swierk and the girl had sex between March and April, Assistant State’s Attorney David Metnick said. The man was charged in May after the girl’s family notified authorities.
On the website, Swierk allegedly documented intimate and trivial details of his relationship with the girl, who was 15 at the time.
He built the website “to express his love for [whom he called] the most amazing woman in the world, the minor victim,” Assistant State’s Attorney David Metnick said at a past court appearance.
There were pictures on the site of the two that Swierk allegedly captioned as “erotic” or “hawt,” Metnick has said.
But Swierk’s public defender has said that no pictures showed the two engaged in sexual acts.
As part of the plea agreement, two remaining sex charges were dropped.
After he finishes his prison sentence, Swierk will complete at least two years of parole and will register for life as a sex offender.
