To the Editor:
Mr. Bob Anderson, the antitownship person, should leave townships alone.
He should spend sone time at a township and see what they do for people.
Mr. Anderson is correct. Chicago did away with a lot of townships for a the simple reason Chicago annexed them into the city.
Today, the areas that were townships carry the name they were named, for example Lake View (Wrigleyville), Rogers Park, Galewood, Englewood, Austin, Jefferson Park, Cragin, Dunning and many more.
There could have more, but the people of Oak Park, Berwyn, Cicero and Elmwood Park voted against being part of Chicago, and that’s the way things are today. I know for sure Oak Park and the others still have townships.
