Pleasant difference

To the Editor:

It isn't often that we see an elected official being so thoughtful and caring as is our state representative, Jack Franks, but that is the trademark of this remarkable legislator. Rep. Franks reaches out to make sure that the cares and concerns of all his constituents are considered and cared for, regardless of party affiliation.

Franks is a Democrat, but he works with Republicans such as state Sen. Pam Althoff and state Rep. Mike Tryon to enact laws for the betterment of this district. What a pleasant difference than the mood in Congress, where the political parties can't seem to work together on anything.
