Concert to benefit Algonquin-Lake in the Hills food pantry

PINGREE GROVE – Enjoy exceptional music and support neighbors in need at “A Gift of Love,” a musical performance to benefit the Algonquin/Lake in the Hills Interfaith Food Pantry.

The featured performers will be the Cambridge Lakes Voices Ensemble; Dorothy Shaw, violinist; and the debut of two new performing groups, Lil’ Howlers and the Northern Kane Community Choir.

The program will take place at 6 p.m. Saturday at Cambridge Lakes Charter School’s Green School, 900 Wester Blvd., Pingree Grove.

The price of admission is a nonperishable food item. Current needs are tomato products- paste, diced, spaghetti sauce; boxed pasta; peanut butter; pancake mix and syrup; canned fruit (mixed fruit or pineapple); tuna; macaroni and cheese.

There also will be a free-will offering with all of the proceeds going to the food pantry. The suggested donation is $5 a person or $10 per family.
