ROCKFORD – Nakisha Wilson will take over the duties as district executive of the Blackhawk Area Council overseeing fundraising, recruitment and event planning, the Sycamore District of the Boy Scouts of America said.

Nakisha, who is a Springfield native, graduated in May with a Bachelor of Science degree in hospitality management with an emphasis in conference and event management. She is eager to incorporate her event coordinating and customer service background into the nonprofit industry, according to a news release.

“The Blackhawk Area Council is excited to have Nakisha onboard to help better serve the youth, volunteer staff, and communities of McHenry County,” District Director of Sycamore District Dane Boudreau said in a statement.
