Bingo fundraiser to benefit two-year-old with cancer

McHENRY – A two-year-old Huntley boy with brain cancer is the beneficiary of a bingo fundraiser.

Matthew Erickson was born with stage 4 high-grade glioma and had underwent his first brain surgery at four days old. He has had five subsequent surgeries and gone through chemotherapy.

Proceeds from the Dec. 6 bingo event at the McHenry Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4600, 3002 W. Route 120, will benefit Matthew and his family.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and games will run 7 to 10 p.m.

Cards start at $5 and specials start at $1. There will be a special holiday $500 Game and $3,800 Jackpot.
