HARVARD – The Land Conservancy of McHenry County is asking for help in clearing brush around some of the oldest oaks in McHenry County.

The organization is inviting people out to Harvard Gateway Park from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, Nov. 30.

The nearest address for the site is 22000 Heritage Lane, Harvard. Those coming should go south on Route 23 from Route 14 in Harvard, take the first right onto Heritage Lane and park along the road.

Experience isn't required, but those who attend should dress for the weather and bring work gloves.

The Land Conservancy, a local nonprofit that works to preserve and restore open and natural land in McHenry County, will provide refreshments.
