WOODSTOCK – The McHenry County Workforce Network is participating in a federal grant program designed to help those looking for a local career in manufacturing, but lacking the required skills.

An upcoming information session will highlight training opportunities provided by the grant in career fields such as CNC operators, welders, robotics technicians and machine mechanics.

The program offers free training, assistance with transportation costs, equipment, uniforms and other benefits. Grant funding is available to eligible applicants.

The information session will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Dec. 5 at the McHenry County Workforce Center, 500 Russel Court, Woodstock.

Information on eligibility requirements and how to apply will be provided to those in attendance. Information about the program is available at www.manufacturing4illinois.com.
