LAKE IN THE HILLS – A Lake in the Hills man remains in custody on $400,000 bond, accused of 14 counts of sexually abusing children.

Otto L. Bobadilla, 46, of 160 Village Creek Drive, first was charged Nov. 19 with one count of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child and one count of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. He’s since been held at McHenry County Jail.

Lake in the Hills police continued their investigation and an additional 12 charges – including four Class X felonies – were filed Nov. 27. Bobadilla was served at the McHenry County Jail.

The two alleged victims are related to Bobadilla, Lake in the Hills Police Department Chief of Support Services Mary Frake said. She declined to elaborate on the gender of the children.

Predatory criminal sexual assault is a Class X felony punishable by six to 30 years in prison. The charge alleges sexual penetration, while aggravated criminal sexual abuse involves other forms of sexual conduct.

His next court appearance is Dec. 10.
