ALGONQUIN – The Wendy’s at 245 S. Randall Road, Algonquin, was remodeled using an a new interior and exterior design as part of a brand transformation to reinvent the Wendy’s restaurant environment, the restaurant said in a news release.

“This restaurant has bold curb appeal and features a compelling, innovative interior and exterior design,” said John Zielinski, divisional vice president for Wendy’s International.  “It’s very different from what our customers in Algonquin are used to, but we think they’ll really like the fresh look and feel of the new Wendy’s.”

In 2013, Wendy’s wanted to re-image at least 100 company and 100 franchise restaurants in North America. In addition, Wendy’s offered $10 million in cash incentives for franchisees to remodel existing Wendy’s restaurants.

Wendy’s conducted nationwide research and studied every aspect of the customer’s experience in redesigning its restaurants.

Based on this feedback, Wendy’s completely overhauled the interiors and exteriors of the building in Algonquin. The new building features large windows, seating at booths and tables, lounge-style seating, and a Wi-Fi bar. Digital menu boards, a new ordering process, a TV, fireplace, Coca-Cola Freestyle self-serve soda machine and patios completed the transformation.
