To the Editor:
So many are focusing on the known problems (too many to enumerate in this venue) on this health care website development.
We also need to anticipate there will be other discoveries as this is reviewed, recoded and tested.
I have two simple questions as an American taxpayer that paid a Canadian company and its affiliates over $634 million for this massive failure:
• When will this Canadian company and its affiliates refund a large portion of the money they were paid since this does not work?
• Will this Canadian company also reimburse taxpayers the costs for those companies hired to fix this problem?
As of this writing, the bill to implement this website will exceed $1 billion. That combines the original charges plus the cost to fix. Again, when do we taxpayers receive our refund for the original, nonworking portion?
