The Dundee-Crown girls basketball team had an offensive explosion during Saturday’s 76-27 win over Rockford Jefferson in Pool B of the Northern Illinois Girls Basketball Holiday Classic.
Allison Michalski scored a game-high 12 points for the Chargers, and Francesa Scarpelli and Lauren Lococo each added 11. Six Chargers combined to make nine 3-pointers, and D-C had 11 players score points in the win.

Wauconda 54, Woodstock 51: At Woodstock, Dakota Brand scored a team-high 13 points while teammate Grace Beattie added 12 for the Blue Streaks in the loss.
Selena Juarez scored nine, including a 7-for-8 effort from the free-throw line for Woodstock.
Lakes 53, Woodstock North 35: At Richmond, eight players scored for the Thunder, who were led by Ashley Jones’ nine points. Sara Crain added six points and Kristy Darling scored five in the loss.
Woodstock North 37, Marengo 20: At Richmond, Ashley Jones scored a game-high nine points while teammate Sara Crain added eight for the Thunder in the win.
Marengo was led by Kassidy Grimscheid and Taylor Carlson, each scoring six points.
CL South 52, Marengo 31: At Richmond, Rachel Rasmussen made nine baskets, including a 3-pointer, en route to a game-high 22 points to lead the Gators. Chanel Fanter also scored 17 points in the win.
Lynsey Hoeske led Marengo with 12 points, and Rachel Tautges and Kassidy Grimscheid each added six in the loss.
Richmond-Burton 49, Round Lake 27: At Richmond, Hannah Koenig had a double-double with a game-high 15 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Rockets.
Abby Straight added eight points and four assists in the win. The Rockets also got scoring from Lauren Otto and MacKenzie Hahn, each scoring seven.
McHenry 50, Harvard 39: At McHenry, McKayla Snedeker led the Warriors with 10 points, with Alex Martens scoring nine and Maddie Kanempf and Carly Mattson each scoring seven in the win.
Harvard was led by Makenna Powell’s game-high 14 points while Abigail Linhart added 10 in the loss.
North Chicago 63, Johnsburg 39: At McHenry, Kayla Toussaint led the Skyhawks with 13 points points in the loss.
North Chicago 69, Harvard 24: At McHenry, Abigail Linhart and Makenna Powell each scored nine points to lead the Hornets in the loss.
Crystal Lake Central 57, Marian Central 37: At Richmond, three players scored in double figures for the Tigers. Evelyn Youel scored a game-high 12 points to pace the Tigers while teammates Shannon Ellman scored 11 and Kristen Bernero added 10 in the win.
Ellen Koscielniak and Brie Baumert each scored 10 points to lead the Hurricanes while Sarah Benigni added eight in the loss.
Crystal Lake Central 46, Round Lake 18: At Richmond, Shannon Ellman scored a game-high 20 points, including two 3-pointers, to lead the Tigers. Evelyn Youel was next with six for Central in the win.
Crystal Lake South 77, Lakes 43: At Richmond, the Gators made 33 baskets and went 9 of 11 from the free-throw line. Chanel Fanter led South with a game-high 24 points while Sara Mickow added 12.
Kianna Clark and Rachel Rasmussen each added 10 points in the win.
Dundee-Crown 59, Woodstock 46: At Woodstock, Allison Michalski scored a game-high 20 points to pace the Chargers while Emilie Michalski added 11 in the win.
Grace Beattie led the Blue Streaks with 13 points while Selena Juarez and Dakota Brand each scored 10 in the loss.
McHenry 41, Johnsburg 33: At McHenry, Sawyer Lay led the Warriors with 13 points behind three 3-pointers while teammate Alex Martens added 11 points in the win.
The Skyhawks were led by Maddie Himpelmann, who scored 10 points in the loss.
Cary-Grove 44, Stevenson 39: At Lincolnshire, Katie Barker scored 21 points to lead the Trojans (8-4) to victory in nonconference play. Barker also added a team-high 13 rebounds for Cary-Grove. Candace Cunningham added 12 points in the win.
Chicago Christian 48, Marian Central 39: At Palos Heights, the Hurricanes (5-5, 2-2 SCC) could not come back from an early deficit in a conference loss. Hannah Davis led the team with 12 points and Sarah Benigni added eight points for Marian Central.
Evanston 2,300, Woodstock co-op 1,943: At Woodstock, Rachel Lohmeyer had a team-leading 153 game to pace her team-high 451 series to lead Woodstock co-op while Fanny Garcia added a 387 series in the loss at Wayne’s Lanes.
