Prep roundup: Prairie Ridge girls basketball team edges Grayslake North in 2 OTs

The Prairie Ridge girls basketball team needed two overtime periods Monday to defeat visiting Grayslake North, 65-64, in a Fox Valley Conference crossover.

Sarah Le Beau split two free throws at the end of the game to give the Wolves a one-point lead. She finished with 15 points. Kirsten Voel-Pel paced the Wolves with 20 points, doing most of her damage from the line as she made 12 of 17 free throws.

Maddie Drain was also in double figures for the Wolves with 15 points.

Marian Central 55, Richmond-Burton 41: At Richmond, Sarah Benigni led the Hurricanes with a game-high 20 points on 10 baskets. Ellen Koscielniak and Brie Baumert each added 11 points for Marian in the nonconference win.

The Rockets were led by Hannah Koenig's 12 points and 11 rebounds in the loss.

Burlington Central 77, Harvard 30: At Burlington, Samantha Pryor scored 16 points to lead four Burlington Central players in double figures in a Big Northern Conference East Division win. The Rockets improved to 9-0, 3-0 in the BNC East.

Harvard fell to 0-10, 0-4 in the BNC East.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Wauconda 49, Woodstock North 47: At Woodstock, the Thunder were led by Josh Jandron, who hit four 3-pointers en route to his game-high 17 points, and Nick Herscha added 15 in their nonconference loss.

BOYS BOWLING

Huntley 2,948, Streamwood 2,422: At Huntley, Beau Rehner led the Red Raiders with a match-high series of 632, including a team-high 226 game.

Brad Szekeres and Jake Manczko each added a 604 series for Huntley in the win.
