Amati outrage

Published: Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013 5:30 a.m. CDT

To the Editor:

I have to say as a Woodstock resident, I am so sickened about Sgt. Chip Amati only getting a 30-day suspension.

He needs to be charged for that text message to a 12-year-old, innocent girl and using the LEADS for personal use. Just because he wears a badge doesn’t mean he is more of a person than any of us or he has arrested.

He did the crime. Now he needs to do the time.

I have two kids, and, honestly, don’t want my children or any child around that man.

Wake up people and speak your minds. Let your voice be heard. Enough is enough. Think of the children.
