Man saws off ring finger in Crystal Lake
CRYSTAL LAKE – A 41-year-old man on Wednesday who was using a table saw cut off one of his fingers on his right hand, the fire department said.
The man, who was a contractor working on a remodeling project in a house on the corner of Hillside Road and Oak Street, cut off his ring finger, said Battalion Chief Thomas Pollnow.
Pollnow added that three other fingers were injured in the incident that happened about 2:45 p.m.
Rescue personnel took the man via Flight for Life to Advocate Condell in Libertyville in fair condition, Pollnow said.
