More people; more taxes
To the Editor:
Can anyone explain to me the logic for taxpayer funded birth control and abortion versus proposed laws to increase the number of legal immigrants in our country, in addition to the legalization of 11 million to 40 million people who already have broken at least one of our laws?
If we promote abortions and birth control to reduce population growth, why are we encouraging other countries to export their excess population?
The Senate passed a law which will increase legal immigrants each year from the current 1.1 million to over 2 million and increase the usage of work visas (47 percent of the illegal immigrants came here with some type of temporary visa). The House is working on similar laws.
What is the primary cause of increases in the taxes you pay? More people.
Contact your members of Congress (each Monday this paper publishes contact information) and demand an end to taxpayer funded birth control and abortions, no amnesty for illegal immigrants, and enforce current immigration laws, especially the prosecution of anyone who employs an illegal immigrant.
Will this increase the cost of a head of lettuce? Probably.
It also will reduce the threat of terrorism, and reduce the importation of illegal drugs and gang members while eliminating the need for driver’s licenses for illegal immigrants.
How many of your tax dollars are used for social services for illegal immigrants?
Where is the logic behind ending lives before they emerge from the womb of legal residents while importing illegal and legal immigrants?
