The Cary-Grove girls basketball team outscored Buffalo Grove 11-4 in overtime to win the nonconference game, 52-45.
Cary-Grove trailed by three heading into the fourth quarter but managed to tie the game and send it to overtime. Katie Barker scored 22 points to lead the way for the Trojans (9-4), adding five steals. Sarah Kendeigh had 10 points, four assists and three steals in the win.
Candace Cunningham scored six points and led the team with eight rebounds. The Trojans had 13 offensive rebounds in the game. Karisa Wilczynski scored five.
Winnebago 50, Harvard 46: At Harvard, Makenna Powell scored 20 points to lead the Hornets in the BNC crossover loss. Kaylee Bischke was second on the team with 10 points and Abigail Linhart added eight points for Harvard. The Hornets shot just 4 of 12 from the line in the loss.
Barrington 67, Jacobs 56: At Algonquin, Alyssa Lach scored nine points to lead the Golden Eagles in the nonconference loss. The game was tied at 30 at the half, but Barrington used a 19-8 run in the third quarter to pull away for the win. Carly Sidor scored eight points and Jessica Powell added seven in the loss.
Hampshire 77. Crystal Lake Central 61: At Crystal Lake, Ryan Cork scored 27 points to lead the Whip-Purs to victory in FVC Fox Division play. Cork converted four 3-pointers in the game for Hampshire. Drew Doran scored 15 points and Matthew Bridges added 14 in the win.
Kenny Vesely led the way for the Tiger with 15 points, including three 3-pointers. Jason Price added 11 points in the loss.
Crystal Lake South 70, Dundee-Crown 48: At Carpentersville, the Gators (8-0) remained undefeated on the season with the FVC Valley Division victory. Austin Rogers led the team with 21 points, 10 rebounds and four assists in the game. Caleb Johnson went 5-5 from the field to finish with 14 points for Crystal Lake South. Collin Wagner added 11 points in the win.
Nick Munson scored 14 points to lead the way for the Chargers. Munson converted four 3-pointers in the game. Kiwaun Seals and Juwan Stewart each added nine points in the loss.
McHenry 3,148, Marengo 2,929: At Glo Bowl in Marengo, the Warriors (10-0) remained undefeated on the season with the victory. Geoff McClaughry led the team with a 669 series. McClaughy bowled the highest single game of the meet as well, with a 236 performance. Steve Churchill was second on the team with a 612 series for McHenry.
Dustin Termini bowled a 630 series to lead the Indians. Termini also bowled the high game of the match with a 267 point performance. Jake Barton bowled a 619 series for Marengo in the loss.
Marengo 3,252, McHenry 2,888: At Glo Bowl in Marengo, Megan Hanelt of Marengo bowled a series high 626, including a game high of 275, in the win. Dom Bailey was second on the team with a 582 series for the Indians.
McHenry was led by Kalyn Geuzendam, who bowled a 530 series in the loss. Amy Goodman was second on the team with a 498 series for the Warriors.
