LAKE IN THE HILLS – One business in Lake in the Hills failed a recent alcohol compliance check.

According to a village news release, CVS Pharmacy employee Kim M. Moceri of Lake in the Hills sold alcohol to a minor during the compliance check.

CVS was one of 20 retailers inspected during the check that took place last week, the news release said. The other 19 retailers passed.

Alcohol compliance checks are part of the process the police department uses to reduce the illegal sale of alcohol to those younger than 21. The checks include sending a minor into establishments to attempt to buy alcohol.
