MADISON (AP) — St. Louis-area investigators are trying to solve the shooting death of a Missouri college student whose body was found in a car in the village of Madison.

Authorities say 21-year-old Jarrett Mosby of Collinsville was found dead Monday.

Matt Eiskant is deputy commander of the Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis. He says Mosby had been repeatedly shot. An autopsy was planned.

Police say Mosby was a senior majoring in business at the University of Missouri in Columbia, and that he was in the area during the school's winter break to visit his young son.
