No injuries in Harvard shed fire
HARVARD – A shed fire caused about $100,000 worth of damage early Tuesday morning, a Harvard Fire Protection District official said.
Firefighters responded to a 1:49 a.m. call reporting a fire at 26018 Graf Road, a farm northwest of Harvard, Chief Steve Harter said.
The fire was contained to a farm equipment shed, about 60 by 25 feet in size, he said. It was brought under control in about 30 minutes.
"Building was involved with a large volume of fire," Harter said. "It's a loss."
There were no injuries, he said.
The Harvard Fire Protection District was assisted by fire departments from Sharon, Wis.; Walworth, Wis.; Marengo, Hebron, Woodstock and Boone County's District 1 and 3.
The Richmond Township and Marengo fire protection districts covered Harvard's district while it responded to the call.
