Thanks from Turning Point

To the Editor:

With unemployment the way it is and the economy hard for so many people, I wanted to share something positive in our community.

Christmas came in such a fast-paced way, and with it came people willing to donate the things the clients of Turning Point needed. They bought dish pans, cookie sheets, alarm clocks, clothes, toys, books and more. It was really overwhelming to receive.

Every one of our clients got what she put on her list and more. Our children expected to get one or two presents and instead got a lot more. It made the clients in shelter so happy.

And people wanted to help out the clients that were living in their own homes, too. They donated items to the agency, and we got them to our clients.

Thank you doesn’t describe the outpouring of generosity this year, but it is all I have. Thank you very, very much.
