Hammortree secures grant for Pioneer Center

CRYSTAL LAKE – Annette Hammortree of Hammortree Financial Services in Crystal Lake was awarded a $2,000 Quality of Life Grant by the Million Dollar Round Table Foundation for outstanding community service on behalf of Pioneer Center for Human Services.

Hammortree is an 11-year Million Dollar Round Table member. Established in 1990, the foundation’s Quality of Life program recognizes members for community involvement, according to a news release.

Hammortree was one of 26 members selected for the award, which will donate $118,000 to charities in the names of the volunteers.

Representing the foundation, Hammortree presented this grant to Pioneer Center for Human Services. Hammortree has served on the organization’s board for 12 years and has been instrumental in the continued success of its fundraising efforts.

This grant will help fund the janitorial services program, which teaches job skills to people with developmental disabilities.
