Volunteer workshop scheduled in McHenry

The Volunteer Center of McHenry County has scheduled a volunteer management workshop.

The two-day training is designed to equip participants with the skills needed to increase the impact of volunteers, according to a news release.

Each training participant will receive a certificate of completion at the conclusion of the training, the news release said.

Training topics include designing volunteer job descriptions, interviewing volunteers, volunteer motivation, risk management, supervising, orienting, training and delegating to volunteers and volunteer management, among other things.

The two-day workshop is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Jan. 16 and 8 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Jan. 17 at the Volunteer Center of McHenry County, 4508 Prime Parkway in the United Way building.
