CARY – Garbage collection service in Cary has been delayed for an additional day, the village said in a news release.

Advanced Disposal notified the village that the below zero temperatures led to equipment failures and cancelled garbage collection on Tuesday, according to the news release.

Extremely cold temperatures already delayed service by one day.

The village now is anticipating the following schedule:

• Monday routes are scheduled for Wednesday pick up.

• Tuesday routes are scheduled for Thursday pick up.

• Wednesday routes are scheduled for Friday pick up.

• Thursday routes are scheduled picked up Saturday.

Holiday tree pick up will be on Friday as scheduled. For more information, contact Advanced Disposal at 708-409-9700 or Village Hall at 847-639-0003.
